Another authentic 150 year old toothbrush made of a single rib bone from some kind of animal....fresh dug from an 1860s outhouse privy pit....

No embossing that I can see.....5 3/4"long....3 rows of holes where the hog bristles once were for the brush.....natural curve. Hand polished finish. EXCELLENT CONDITION with no cracks or damage. Very solid.

Most people were not too concerned with oral hygiene or brushing their teeth back in the 1860s. When a family did have a toothbrush like this, they would have to share it with everyone in the family.
