Museum Quality Antique Herend Hungary, Kakiemon patterned & reticulated vase. Brand/Provenance : Herend, Hungary. Age : C.1850 - 1870. Size : The piece measures 14cm in width (largest bulb) X 28cm in height. Artist/signature : The piece is signed "HERNED" with an impressed seal to the base. I am unsure exactly why it is misspelt, maybe a sample or second? Condition : The piece is in excellent condition with NO chips, cracks, wear, crazing or restoration. Small firing line in reticulated basket. Comments : AVERY RARE Herend Kakiemon patterned & reticulated basket vase. The piece is exquisitely decorated with hand painted panels, decorated with an oriental styled pattern known as 'Kakeimon' (17th century Japanese influenced design).
