Up for auction is this Antique 1860's Doll Clothes. I have the doll up for auction now that this was found with and was told that this was part of her Trousseau .This is a very quality made outfit. The Ecru Batiste Day Dress has the old cotton interfacing on the inside with hand and machine stitching. The top part is pillowly which has room for the China's reinforced bossom area. This is all pleated on the top and at the waist area, Lace on the cuffs. This is like a Batiste homespun cotton with details in the pattern. Collarless which would be to show of the jacket more. This will need to be soaked for soiled from age but mostly these do come clean but always know that everyone has their own way and method of cleaning so will leave that up to the new owner. This measures 24 inches long, and waist is 6" across when laying down flat, This has never had any closures and alot of books talk about this. The Breton And Ecru Jacket has the Ecru design down the front that has the same material as the dress, The collar is mostly in the back then goes around to meet the design down the front. It has a introverted pleating on the back , this Jacket is Black in color and old silk cotton sheen which is what alot of these were. The Jacket comes to a point in the front on both sides. A little of the Ecru design in the front has come undone and will read more
