Check out this extremely rare wooden handled "PENNSYLVANIA RAILROAD" antique dip pen from shortly after the company was founded in 1846. It’s definitely the earliest "PENNSYLVANIA RAILROAD" piece we’ve ever seen and it’s not listed anywhere – not even on eBay or Google! It’s also in beautiful condition. The nib, which says "No1 PENNSYLVANIA RAILROAD SYSTEM" in incised lettering, is pristine with no rust or wear. The handle is fire engine red and is excellent. There are no cracks or chips to the wood – just a little ink patina which only adds to its nostalgia! An unusual crossover for both collectors of RAILROADIANA and PENS!
