It was widely circulated, folded and possibly crumpled. Features central vignette of milkmaid seated on tree branch; Civil War Virginia Governor Letcher at left. Nice red overprints. Hand signed by Virginia officials for Public Auditor, and by, D Denoon for Treasurer. Back is blank as issued.Virginia, like most Confederate states, issued its own Treasury notes to circulate in the state along side Confederate government notes.
