1863 Johnson's New Illustrated Family Atlas of the World with Descriptions. Atlas is by Richard Swainson Fisher, M.D. and Maps Compiled, Drawn and Engraved Under the Supervision of J.H. Colton and A.J. Johnson. Published in New York by Johnson & Ward. Atlas shows many beautiful color maps of States within the U.S. as well as other Countries. Also provides info on the Physical Geography of the World. Considering it's age Atlas is well preserved. Pages do not have any tears and all remain intact with the binding. A few spots of soilage here and there but nothing I believe will concern you. As shown in my photos the outter edges of the leather cover also have wear but keep in mind what Book from 1863 doesn't have any wear. Inside binding on top edge of cover is also a little worn but cover remains solid. Atlas measures about 14 3/4" x 18 1/2". Would make a nice addition to any Vintage Map or Atlas collection.
