1863 NORTHWESTERN FAIR CHICAGO ABE LINCOLN EMANCIPATION PROCLAMATION RARE � This piece was found in a 1914 album. The first Sanitary Fair took place in Chicago in 1863. This was sold at the fair for $2 to raise money for the health and general comfort of union troops. There is a seal on the bottom left corner. This item has been mounted to black construction like paper. It can probably be removed without damaging the item. It seems to be loosely mounted in ~four places.
