Manuscript document attesting to the fact that Private David Patterson of Battery G, 16th New York Volunteer Artillery is present with his regiment. Dated at Gloucester Point, Virginia on March 17, 1864 and signed by Colonel Joseph J. Morrison, commander of the regiment, who was later Brevetted Brigadier General for his war service.
