Civil War US Government Cavalry Saber Contracts New Jersey based sword maker Emerson and Silver had a five year run from 1860 - 1865. Records have led historians to estimate that the company produced nearly fifty thousand military swords during the war. When the fighting stopped, the company went belly-up. The sword itself is in outstanding "relic" or "battlefield pick-up" condition You don't need to drive to Sharpsburg or elsew else to see this hanging in some museum--behind glass--w all you can do is press your nose against the glass to say, "Wow...." and drool. No, you can have this irreplaceable, one-of-a-kind, and indeed, once-in-a-lifetime ultimate relic of battle history for yourself, to have and to treasure the rest of your days. The only other places you can see some thre relics are at Gettysburg and Antietam National Battlefield Parks. And you won't dare have a chance to purchase any of these museum pieces anytime soon from the NPS. It doesn't get any better than this, my friends. It is my privilege to offer this, one of the finest artifacts of war time that I've ever had to offer. Original Wrap and handle. Once in a lifetime opportunity, indeed... Good luck and happy bidding
