Up for auction is a vintage letter that is datelined Belchertown, July 6, 1864. I will assume this would be the Massachusetts Belchertown. Letter was addressed to the Honorable J. (John) B. Hill. Letter starts out "Sir, I am in great need of money. Eddy's term bills ought to have been paid before----and I have othr liabilities. Mr. and Mrs. Bridgman are to leave for Saco-Pool on the 14th and are unwilling to leave me alone.................." Text of letter uses 2 pages sof the 4 page set. Writer used his initials to sign the letter, and they look like S.D.S., or S.D.L. ********MULTIPLE AUCTION WINNERS::::::::Please wait until I send an invoice before paying.
