Only Authorized CSA Medal During the Civil War Stonewall Jackson Commemorative Medal List All Battles Lt. General Jackson Fought Measures 2" and Produced in Pewter The 1,000 Medal were produced in France by renowned engraver Arman August Caque. When delivered, the ship had to run the Union blockade. The medals were stored in a warehouse in Georgia, only to be lost and forgotten. When found many decades later, the Daughters of the Confederacy sold them for $1.00 each. This medal amazes me that they are not considered extremely valuable due to scarcity and small amount minted. The condition is good w/ rim imperfections, otherwise all the detail of battles, dates and names are very ledgible. Check out my other items ! Variety of Collectibles and Antiques
