Over half of the entire front page is dedicated to coverage of the Trial of the Lincoln Assassination Conspirators. He was an ardent supporter of the Confederacy and an enemy of the North for its intrusion and invasion of his beloved Virginia. He claimed to have fired the first shot at Fort Sumter to begin the Civil War. CONDITION: Printed on quality "rag paper" (cotton/linen), t's 8 pages measuring about 15" X 21".
