AZBookNook*****NEW STOCK ADDED DAILY***** Book in Poor condition. Binding is separate from the cover. Leather on cover and spine is mostly gone. Pages have some age tanning mostly to the front edge that does not reach the actual map area of the page. Three maps have small spots (about the size of a pencil eraser) from pieces of an evergreen leaf that was dried in the book (and then crumbled). Most pages are totally without markings. No foxing. No musty smell. First front section consisting of title page and list of maps is separate from the book. There are 48 single page maps and 3 double page ones. Book measures 15 1/2 by 12 3/8 inches. Map pages are blank on back side. GREAT resource for the civil war era buff, historian and genealogist. Just looking through the atlas to do photos, I noticed Arizona territory didn't rate a separate territory page, Oklahoma is titled "Indian Territory", Canada is titled British America and Africa contains little detail. The book has it's faults and is rated poor. However, it still is a neat, useable piece of history. The maps could even be excised and framed if so desire d.
