Up for auction is one 1867 liberty seated dime 10c. The coin is a details proof, with an old ANACS holder and "net" grade of PF 12.This coin is an odd bird. There were only 6000 business strikes and 625 proofs made in 1867, the lowest mintage of any liberty seated date. This poor dime suffered some unknown insult that resulted in removal of almost all of its original surfaces and other damage. Yet for all the damage, there's still very fine detail, for example in the shield and wreath.I suppose you could look at this coin two ways. It's either an awesome addition to a lowball (proof) collection, or a low cost chance to own a tough dime date.I try hard to provide good photography. Please zoom in on the coin images.Auction will start at a reasonable $149.Will be shipped immediately by USPS First Class Package, or Priority Mail if the price exceeds $500.The coin may be returned within 7 days, buyer pays return shipping.
