Good/ No Dust Cover, 1856/ 1868 Edition. Ex-Libris. 9 3/8 X 13 1/2". 157 text pages with 112 plates. Cover of green library cloth with title and library number on spine in white. Cover is very clean with the slightest rubbing to edges. Binding and hinges are very good or better. Library bookplate on fixed end paper. All page edges gilt. Blind library stamp on decorated title page and title page with library numbers on verso of title page. Blind stamp on first page of preface. Text and plate pages have been trimmed slightly at the gutter edge. This volume is amazingly clean and bright. The 112 chromolithographed plates are all wonderful. Plate xcix, [99], is loose and laid in with some edge chipping. All other plates are very good or better. Brilliant colors, nearly all plates have tissue guards.
