1870 $5.00 California gold note/ About vg Now s a note you seldom see anyw,These notes were printed on rather fragile paper,over 90% of the existing population are vg in grade with problems. A vf is considered a great rarity and command hugh priminms at auction, Ive been the underbidder on a few at 35,000 and could not buy them. This note represents itself well showing the detail of the coins on the reverse. This note does have some minor edge problems and some pinholes which really are to be expected in this grade,and really donnot matter as much when you consider that most of the existing population are equal to this.So if your in the market for something special at a reasonable price maybe this note is for you.
