This book is "The Book of Common Prayer" and Administration of the Sacraments, and other Rites and Ceremonies of the Church, according to the use of the United Church of England and Ireland; Together with the Psalter or Psalms of David, Pointed as they are to be sung or said in Churches; and the Form and Manner of Making, Ordaining, and Consecrating of Bishops, Priests, and Deacons. It also contains "The New Testament", of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, and also finally containing "The Proper Lessons". There is no year of printing present but there is an ink inscription to front prelim dated 1870. The book was printed by G. E. Eyre and W. Spottiswoode, Printers to the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty. Published and bound by Charles Courtier and Sons, 11, Paternoster Row, London. It is bound in exquisite full black leather fine binding, with brass clasp and edging, it has exquisite embossed gilt decoration to both boards and spine panels/compartments, and the page fore edges are gilt edged when the book is closed..
