For auction or BUY-it-Now purchase today is an 1870 San Francisco minted Seated Liberty Half Dollar. This series of U.S. Half dollars was issued from 1839 through 1891 when it was replaced with the Barber half. This extremely interesting and long running series actually had six different design modifications and there are six distinct types to collect. The coin for sale is the 5th type of the six. It was issued from 1866 through 1891 and is known as the "With Motto" Variety. The PCGS coin catalogue specific details for this coin have been included in my listing.
