This is just a great Old Victorian Solid Oak Bed and we bought this bed right out of the home and the owner knows the bed was bought somew around 1870 and she thinks it is a little older. This bed is in original finish and could have been refinished many years ago but looks like maybe the original finish on the bed. The bed is very tight and in excellent shape. The bed did come with a very ugly set of mismatched set of rails and we did replace the rails with a set of replacement rails that we have and it really made the bed look much better. I just couldn't leave the old ugly set of rails on the bed and thought the owner should have a much nicer looking set of rails on the bed.
