Antique Wall Clock
Wow! This auction is for one of several great antique clocks that I have listed this week. This particular clock is a very rare and very early weight driven model made by the Waterbury Clock Company. I believe this clock is pre-1870s but I am not 100% sure. It has the original label that indicates it is a 30 day movement and it has the original weights and key, but is missing the pendulum. It is otherwise complete and is nice condition, but needs some TLC. The dial is missing a screw so it looks like it is crooked. It also has some crazing of the enamel paint, which is original, so it looks nice for 140 years or so. The movement very large and well made and also complete. I have not tested the clock, but I am sure it needs a cleaning and some oil. The case is actually very well preserved and even has the original glass art in good condition. The little knob on the door front is made of Ivory - very unusual! The entire piece measures about 15½" x 26" so this is a very large mantel clock. Beautiful piece, and VERY rare! I think it has a cherry case, but it might be something similar. Bidder pays $27.00 for shipping and handling via USPS Mail. International bidders please email me for shipping cost. Items less than US$20 can be shipped via regular Airmail. If the item is over US$20 insurance is required. It the item is over US$100 it must be sent via a service that allows for tracking. If the item is over $100 and insurance is requested it will be purchased from a 3 rd party insurer (find out more at ), which provides much better coverage. I accept personal checks, money orders and credit cards via Paypal. I charge a 5.1% sales tax to all Wisconsin residents - sorry, it's mandatory! Thanks for bidding! Obviously, the discount will depend on the weight of each individual item and the physical characteristics of the shipment.
