However, this is the much less seen and uncommon version of the Masonic History. Perhaps the greatest asset of this volume is the stunning full page illustrations. Many volumes’ illustrations borrow from each other, but the illustrations in this volume are unique and exclusive to this volume. Also includes a RARE HAND WRITTEN MASONIC LETTER. A letter from Washington City dated February 23, 1865. The letter mainly concerns the secrets of the Freemasons and talks about King Solomen's Temple. This work is in VERY GOOD CONDITION: Bound in Full Calf Leather Binding, Black Label w/ Gilt Lettering to Spine, Beautiful Marbeled End Pages, Tightly Bound, Solid Hinges, remarkably clean pages for the age. The main flaws I could find with this book is some minor chipping/cracking to the top of the spine cover, minor cracking to bottom of spine cover, and a stamp & inscription on the blank pages in front.
