This is an ORIGINAL 1873 MAP of Ashley and Nanticoke in N. E. Pa., near Wilkes Barre. T is also has a close-up of Plumbton which I believe is present-day Warrior Run. The map is highly detailed and all of the houses are marked with the owners or occupants names. T is also a list of the prominent businessmen in the area. Many coal mining facilities are marked. The map has a fold in the center as it was 2 pages in an atlas. T's about a 1" split at the right edge of the fold but t is paper behind this. T's slight age discoloration on the edges of the map, otherwise the condition is very good.
The map was published in 1873 by A. Pomeroy, Philadelphia, from a survey by D. G. Beers, and it measures approx. 15 1/2" x 23". These early maps were hand colored and the close-up scan shows the best representation of the colors. It will be shipped flat by Priority Mail for $4.50. Only one S&H charge applies if multiple purchases of my maps ship together. Insurance is available for $1.35.
