You are bidding on a very scarce hardcover book titled A Journey To The North Pole. By Jules Verne. Jules Verne is one of the earliest and one of the best writers of science fiction of all time! Published by George Routledge and Sons, 1875. After the initial printing in French, this is the first edition printed in English! Book has 129 illustrations by Riou, some of which are full page. Book features green cloth binding with black illustrated design with gold. Has a very attractive cover and spine. There are many wonderful illustrations throughout the book. Covers securely attached. There is some wear to the corners and top/bottom of spine. All pages tightly bound. There is some very light sporadic foxing to the first and last couple of pages. Nice book to add to a collection!
