A useful and important manual on the breeding of poultry by Issac Kimball Felch , the first man in the United States to make a living solely from breeding poultry. Provenance: This item is from the estate of Jacqueline Hurt Dooley a direct descendant of Cornelius Boy Jensen and Mercedes Avalrado of the Jensen-Alvarado House . Their house was the first brick building in Riverside County California and the first non-adobe structure in the Inland Empire. It is on the National Register of Historic Places and a California Historical Landmark (#943). Jacqueline was very involved in historical research and genealogy and her library reflects the high degree of scholarship and effort she incorporated into her work.
