Tonight I will be listing selections from an estate collection of early English mosaic or slag glass. I am not an expert so any help with identification would be appreciated. This auction offers a bright blue slag handled pot-shaped piece that I believe was made as a spill or posy vase. It was made in the Sowerby factory with a Registry mark for 1877. The little pot measures 2" high to the rim and 2 1/2" across. The bottom has the maker's famous "Peacock" trademark and the Registry mark. This piece is in excellent estate condition with no chips, cracks or repairs noted. A charming addition to a collection! The cost of U.S. insured shipping and very careful packing varies with your postal zone--see USPS estimate above. And be sure to check my other auctions for more mosaic glass to save on combined shipping!
