You won't find an older Morgan. It goes back to the very first year. And was minted using silver from the Comstock Lode at the most famous mint in numismatic history. Morgans minted in Carson City are truly rare coins. Less than 2% of all Morgans have the cc mintmark. They are also probably the most popular coin ever struck at a U.S. mint. Purists might debate that point but t is no doubt that cc Morgans are at or near the top of every collector's most-wanted list. For obvious reasons, first-year Carson City Morgans get very expensive in Mint State grades. This one gives collectors the option of avoiding a $350-$400 outlay for a blazing BU example. Virtually every collection of Morgans must include a nice first year CC but it's not necessary to spend 2-3 times this much to get a sharp, graded one. This one works nicely as the lead CC in a Morgan set. This one shows even wear, still has some very attractive details and a classic silvery-gray color. T's still a touch of luster on the surface. Quite an attractive Morgan. Amazingly, it was never dropped, dinged, polished or cleaned despite all the owners it surely had. The NGC certification guarantees the surface has never been altered and the holder will protect it for literally hundreds of years. The name on the holder also means it's an instant investment in rare silver coinage. Certain to rise nicely in value over the coming years. Notice that 100% of my customers were pleased with their coin and with how quickly it arrived in their mailbox. You will be too.
