1878 SAIGNELEGIER BRASS BELL Chiantel Fondeur SWISS Out of a recent estate comes this 1878 Saignelegier Brass Bell from Chiantel Foundry, Switzerland.
It is 3 1/4" in diameter and 3" tall including strap mount, and it has the original clapper in place. It is all original and solid cast brass.T are 2 crosses,sea shell and flowers on the body of the bell.The bell has a great sound to it.
Condition is excellent. T is a little oxidation to the mount. We have not cleaned or polished this antique bell, leaving that to the taste of the buyer. A nice addition to any bell collection, or perhaps just a funky doorbell
This rare brass bell is dated 1878. That would make it 270 years old.
