This is a rare item for auction today. IT is marked Patented Feb 18, 1879 !!!! heavy Cast iron.Marked McGill's patent single strokeStaple Press.Some of the paint is missing. Great antique condition.Measures 4 3/4" tall by 6" long by 2 1/2" wide. It has a swing style arm that moves up and down to allow you to insert what ever was being stapled.
