Thomaston, Conn Patented: 1880 Original paper label on back Original green marble swirl and ebony black adamantine veneer finish. 8 Day "Time and Strike" Key Wound MovementGongs the hours and once on the half hourMeasurements:16-1/2" wide x 11" high x 6-1/2" deepCondition:Works well and keeps good time Key and pendulum are not original but work well with this clock Housing in good condition with the exception of some chips on bottom edge. (See pic) Unless it is called out, it is barely noticeable. Please be aware that closeups exaggerate & amplify imperfectionsIMPORTANT Note: if you have no experience with mechanical clocks either reconsider bidding or be prepared to read about these clocks. For transport the pendulum and the weights need to come off. These type of clocks do not like to be moved around, so it might take some time and patience to get the clock to run properly. Moving the clock and taking the pendulum off sometimes puts the clock out of beat. This basically means the clock is going tock-tick, tock-tick, or ticktock, ticktock instead of tick tock tick tock.
