I will list a number of quality items, many are being sold to settle a local estate. Many more are directly from the dispersal of an advanced Victoriana collection. They now use dimensional weight (L x W x H divided by 194) for all packages over one cubic foot. Ebay, for their part, has dropped the ball and failed (as of the time this auction is being listed) to make the necessary changes on the listing page, the shipping calculator and the invoice system. Tfore, it will do you no good to use the shipping calculator. Please see the paragraph on shipping near the bottom of this page for materials, shipping and insurance costs. SECOND CHANCE OFFERS: I will not email you with a second chance offer. If you are an underbidder and receive such an offer (as is all too common), it will not have been from me. It should be regarded as an attempt to defraud. OFFERED: Offered is a fine antique brass display easel (one of two being offered today), in the Eastlake or Aesthetic Movement Taste. This probably would date from 1875-1885. Antique, not reproduction. This is a very nice example and quite hard to find, however is it not in perfect condition (see below). The reflection in the pictures make is look brighter than it is. SIZE: Overall height about 60", an inch or so shorter when open. Width at bottom 20". Frame supports adjustable, up and down. The panels is heavy, about 1/8" thick. The tripod legs are about 3/4" diameter. CONDITION: Good condition, as shown, though the patina is uneven quite a number of the little finial nuts are lacking. These can be found or turned on a lathe. I would say it probably had brass ball feet, but those are lacking. It may have had some type of finial on top of the two front posts, perhaps balls, but those are also lacking. The patina is not great, as you can see, but it does have that antique look. This is a large item and will require a custom box be made, about 22x62x4-6". The cost for the box is $50. I will not have it made until after the auction, in case the winning bidder wishes to pick the item up. I will not know the cost of shipping until I pack it. I will charge a flat $30 for the UPS shipping and insurance. If the actual cost is less, I will refund the difference. If it it more, I will pay the difference. So, after the auction, add $80 to the final price. That is the best I can do until eBay fixes the UPS Shipping Calculator. That seems fair to me...if you do not agree, please do not bid. If you prefer a method other than insured UPS ground (such as UPS 2nd Day Air or USPO Priority Mail), please let me know. I will ship FedEx on your account only. INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING: No international shipping on this lot, including Canada. It is too big for the post office and I do not ship international UPS. PAYMENT: Credit cards through PayPal only.
