This is a beautiful late 1800's Gilbert 'Favorite F' 8-Day Mantle Shelf Clock. The clock is complete, and was found in an attic in upstate NY. The clock is gongs on the half-hour and the hours. The clocks case is a thing of beauty! Very 'Eastlake' in the motif. I wound the clock up, and it chimed, but only ran for a few second, then stopped. I do not know what it will need to run smoothly, but it will need adjusting to the works. (I think it has been wound too tight, and has been sitting). Sold as shown, and found.
