c1880 FINE LOUIS XVI DROP LEAF SIDE TABLE SIGNED KITTINGER I am very pleased to offer this spectacular and beautifully crafted drop leaf side table by Kittinger, the famous 19th and 20th Century American furniture maker. I am listing many items from my father's estate that I am now, unfortunatey, having to liquidate. Apparently (according to Google) much of the furniture in the West Wing of the White House are well known Kittinger pieces and many famous American presidents have owned Kittinger furniture collections. This authentic Kittinger table has two drop leaves and two pull-out drawers. Affixed to the inside of one of the drawers is an old brass plate bearing the Kittinger signature with maker's information. This table is shown in the center of the photos. My dad's larger dresser and cabinet are not included in this lot. This side table is about 29 1/2 inches tall, 35 inches wide, and 18 inches deep. It is in excellent condition except for signs of age and various surface scratches (please see photos). Unfortunately, I am not an expert and so I cannot determine the exact age of this table. Please excuse my ignorance. Tfore, please do not make any assumptions about age, period, style, etc when evaluating this piece. I have made every effort to describe this item as accurately as possible. Like you, I am only human and make mistakes. Hopefully, not too many. Buyer is responsible for making shipping arrangements and payment for shipping separately with a shipper in New York.
