1880s New Orleans Streetcar Motorman in Uniform
This is a wonderful old Cabinet Photo of a ca. 1880s New Orleans, LA Streetcar Operator in his Uniform. This is from a box full of old photos that were passed down to my Grandmother from her family in New Orleans w she was born in 1900. Many have been identified and I am keeping those but this one is not and I decided to put it on the market. I have no idea who this man is but he looks to be very much Italian and I do not have any Italian ancestors so he was probably a friend of an ancestor. This photo is in very nice condition with very minor wear around the edges and some light foxing. It measures 7" X 4 1/2" and is signed by the Photographer on the base. Rojas V Connor; 1007 Canal St. New Orleans, LA. Watch my other auctions for more vintage photos from this era in New Orleans. I will also be listing on of a New Orlean Streetcar of this era in the next day or so.
