Very nice,old army medical box, mfg. by Seabury & Johnson, Company was formed in 1866, Johnson left co. in the late 1880's to form Johnson & Johnson, lock is brass with the key and it still works, size is 15'' by 11" by 12" very solid, great patina, some scuffs and marks ( see pics ) but really great condition for something that's over 130 yrs., the label on the inside lists 1 bottle corrosive sublimate tablets, 1 cake hydronaphthol soap 1%, 4 dozen guaze bandages 1", 4 dozen guaze bandages 2 1/2 ", 5 yards plain aseptic guaze, 2 lbs. absorbent cotton- 1/2 lbs, 1 enameled wash basin., great piece of history, if it could only tell us where it has been during it's use, amazing, dare anyone to find another like it, very rare, please ask any and all questions, thanks for looking.
