Her Majesty Queen Victoria Autograph Letter Sign Letter on black-bordered letterhead (symbolic of mourning), dated 1881 and extending through eight pages. This letter has a corresponding envelope with penny stamp and postmark, addressed to Miss Drummond at Megginch Castle. It appears that the mourning was in reference to the death in 1861 of the Prince Consort, Albert, from whose death Victoria never fully recovered.
