Thisis an old Russian edition of the Old Testament from 1882. The book hashard covers that are in good condition considering its age. Some of its pages are slightly stained and the condition of the item is visible on the pictures. This edition seems to be the second volume of three or more. This book begins with page 233 and the Book of Joshua. It contains the already mentioned Book of Joshua, Judges, Ruth, Samuel I, Samuel II, Kings I, Kings II, Chronicles I, Chronicles II, Book of Ezra, Book of Nehemiah and Book of Esther. This edition was printed in Saint Petersburg by the Holy Synod's publishing house- "Синодальной типография". We believe that the second page of the book indicates that this edition was published with the permission of the Holy Synod and the English Bible Society which was one of the first Christian organisations which set its aim to make the Scriptures widely available by translation, production and distribution of new copies.
