Hello all!! 2007 is going to be an incredible year for auctions!! It was a fantastic summer of cast iron collecting this year! If you are not on my email list yet, I suggest you get on it, you don't want to miss out!! (Details below) T ARE 23 MORE ITEMS UP FOR SALE IN THIS AUCTION. I have banks ranging in age from 1880's to the 1950's. I generally collect but I have been having fun with these auctions so I'm picking up "extras" when I find them now & offering them to all you collectors out t on Ebay. I hit all the garage & estate sales, flea markets, antique shows & some Ebay treasures!!!! I have banks manufactured by all the major manufacturers. I also have branched out into some of my other cast iron interests, mainly doorstops & paperweights but I have some unexpected surprises as well. Always no reserve and starting at $.99 because I feel the quality the items will speak for themselves and get a fair price. I regularly have auctions, generally twice a month. My next auction will start Thursday November 22nd and end on Sunday December 2nd. If you would like, send me your email & I will add you to the list & notify you when I have an auction. I ONLY us this info to send you info on my Ebay auctions, absolutely nothing else. Check out my other safe bank up for auction now!
You are bidding on a 1882 Kyser & Rex cast iron Sport Safe bank . Louis Kyser and Alfred C. Rex opened their company in 1879 in Frankfort , PA. They manufactured iron castings and hardware as well as banks. They were not the most prolific makers of banks but they were among the very best!! They closed their doors by 1898. Excellent detail in the iron, what craftsmanship! The bank is in great shape, check out the awesome embossed patterns on all four sides and top, children and animals. Paint is near mint for a bank this old, the gold hand painted highlights are almost all intact!! Has 112 embossed on the bottom as well as stamped "Pat Jan 8 1882" The seams are tight, the pieces align well, original center pin. T are no cracks, chips, breaks or repairs of any kind other than any stated. The lock works with the key and is complete but the spring is unattached inside so it's not working correctly . 3" tall x 2 1/4". This bank is pictured as #886 in Moore 's penny book listed @ $150 in 2000. I suggest to the winner to print a copy of this auction, it will increase the resale value of your purchase tremendously having this information as a hard copy along with the bank. You are paying for this information, make use of it! Plus it's fun to look back in 20 years and say I only paid $200 for that way back when. Most of the banks today selling for $200-$400 were $15-$50 in the mid 1970's, big money when the reference guides I have were printed. Please ask any and all questions before auction ends. No refunds for buyer's remorse. Items are photographed and described accurately. YOU MUST CONTACT ME WITH IN THREE DAY'S OF AUCTION END OR I RESERVE THE RIGHT TO CANCEL THE AUCTION & RE-LIST. I WILL LEAVE NEGATIVE FEED BACK. DON'T BID IF YOU ARE NOT GOING TO PAY FOR THE AUCTION. I HAVE HAD QUITE A FEW NON-PAYING BIDDERS, PLEASE DON'T BE ONE!!! Payment due in 10 days. International rates are extended. Shipped via USPS priority without insurance unless requested. Seller assumes no responsibility for a lost or damaged package. FYI: I always go to the USPS to mail the items so I always have a receipt/ proof that the items were mailed (don't purchase insurance if you simply want proof of mailing, I will have it) Bidder pays shipping. International, including Canada , email for air or surface quote. Payment by money order, PayPal, Ebay payments, check. I cheerfully combine items to reduce shipping. By placing a bid you agree to these terms. I have an email list that I send to people interested in my monthly auctions. If you would like to be on it send me your address. I only use this for Ebay auctions. PERIOD! Mechanical Bank Still Bank Registering Bank Money Box Will combine, prefer it actually. It's generally the s...
