Today Up For Auction: 1883 CC United States 90% Silver Morgan Dollar Key Date Estate Coin!! Prompted by a question regarding the condition of this item from an interested bidder I looked at this listing: It seems as if the zoom is not working on these pictures for some reason. I am able to see, looking at the listing, that the coin does have some damage which is visible from the pictures as they are. For example, the discoloration at 8 o'clock and 1 o'clock on the obverse, as well as a rim bump at 7 o' clock. Not as easily visible without the zoom are a rim bump at 4 o'clock and a tiny letter H lightly engraved above Liberty's head, below the second U in PLURIBUS. There is a fair amount of expected chatter for a circulated coin, mostly visible in the pics without the zoom, particularly around the eagles head and to the right of its right wing. The coin may have been lightly polished at some point in its history, but it could also conceivably be the look a coin gets from being circulated or worn. I do not polish coins. !!
