1883 Liberty (V-Nickel)--No Cents Proof 65 condition, in my opinion. I purchased this coin as a Proof Coin and it does look to be Proof. A Proof 65 is priced at $1300 in CoinValues May 2009 issue while a Proof 64 is priced at $600 and a Proof 63 is priced at $400. The reverse has a nice reflective field with only a couple of very fine rub marks. The obverse, which was exposed, shows a little less reflective field but an extremely nice strike. Look at Lady Liberty's hair for the condtion of this strike. This coins shows no wear whatsoever other than the fine rub marks mentioned above, as you would expect. The obverse shows an extremely strong strike and the reverse has a nice, strong strike as well. Would make a great addition to any Liberty Nickel collection.
