This is a beautiful antique Royal Worcester small jug in the Japanesque aesthetic style that was so popular in the late Victorian era. The jug has a pale blue floral background with a hand painted crane, a butterfly, a bamboo stem, twigs and leaves; all in shades of blue with gilded highlights. The gilded highlighting is in good condition, but t is some wear and losses to the gilding around the rim and w the handle is held. It stands 4" tall and is in very good condition with no chips, crazing or repairs. T are no scratches in the glaze or the painted images. However, t is a hairline located at the center of the back that can be seen on the inside, but is barely noticable to the naked eye on the outside. On the base are two Royal Worcester marks with a date code for 1883 and also the the old English diamond registration mark. Airmail postage to the U.S.A. would be $8.20, to the United Kingdom, Australia and other international destinations, $14.60. Postage within Canada depends on postal code, please email for quote.
