GRAB A PIECE OF THE WILD WEST!!! CARSON CITY GSA MORGAN DOLLAR!!! Carson City GSA dollars are wonderful to collect! The history behind them are so interesting. There wasn't a high demand for them back in the late 1800's when they were minted. So the unused ones were stored in the US treasury vaults for almost 100 years. After some how surviving being melted down by the mint, and used to make other silver coins, they were taken from original mint bags ( HINTS HOW ORIGINAL THEY ARE! ) and placed in a stylish black holder by the GSA, ( General Services Administration), and sold to the public via mail bid auctions. So when you buy a GSA dollar, and it's been graded by NGC, it's the same as getting a garantie that your coin is original, uncleaned, and most likely never been touched with human hands. And when your GSA dollar has toning, you know that is all natural from the mint bags the coins where stored in for over a century. It's very unlikely that there are any artificial toning with CC GSA dollars. Also, since a large percentage of the GSA dollars where cracked out of there GSA holders back in the late 70's and early 80's when they where released by the government, and there still being cracked out today, that probably leaves a smaller percentage that is still avaliable in the GSA holder than not. I meet new collectors very often that are starting to collect the GSA dollars, so sooner or later the demand will greatly out number the supply, which should make for a good investment in the future. Morgan Dollar's are made of 90% silver, and when you buy one minted in Carson City, you know that you dollar is made of silver that was mined right here in the USA! This is because Carson City dollar's where minted from silver of the famous " Comstock Lode". True all american coins! And besides, they are a lot of fun to collect. The box is still hinged and in pretty good shape but does have a couple of small blemishes. The COA looks to be in mint condition. Would make an excellent addition to your collection.
