DESCRIPTION: Up for Auction a Trade Card or Advertising Card for BELDING BROS. CO. - Belding's Knitting Silk. Printed on the front: SIX STRONG AMERICAN CANDIDATES FOR PUBLIC FAVOR 1884. The front of the Card is very colorful, as you can see. The Trade Card looks to be printed on Stiff Paper, but not as stiff as a Postcard.

On the Left are the 1884 Republican Nominees - JAMES BLAINE for President and JOHN LOGAN for Vice-President. On the Right are the 1884 Democratic Nominees - GROVER CLEVELAND for President and THOMAS HENDRICKS for Vice-President. James Blaine lost the election to Grover Cleveland.

The Candidates are draped in American Flags. Each Portait is identified with Name and State. In the center section shows two illustrations of Belding Bros. & Co. Knitting Silk.

CONDITION: All Colors nice and Bright. Slight bend to the bottom right corner. Left corners, top and bottom, shows some wear. (The Bottom Corner has a few small edge chips). You can see this in my photos. All printing clear and easy to read. The card is very clean with just a few very minor scuffs/stains near the edges. These are very minor and very light in color. In Wonderful Condition for the Age - over 125 years old!

NOTE: 1884 Presidental Item will be protected in plastic and placed between Cardboard and sent in a Manila Envelope for Safe Mailing.
