IMPRESSIVE and OUTSTANDING Chromolithograph by LOUIS PRANG! CICADA! LOUIS PRANG was one of America’s most notable COLOR ARTISTS and PRINTERS of the Nineteenth Century. This GORGEOUS PRINT appeared in 1885 as one of several wonderful zoological chromos in J.G. Wood’s ANIMATE CREATION published by Selmar Hess, NY in 1885! Print is an ORIGINAL page from this monumental work (not a copy!) COLOR and DETAIL are SUPERB! Print is approximately 5” X 8” and is “tipped-in” on a thick, 9.5” X 12.5” sheet of quality paper with 1.3”-l.5” of border space on all sides. (border space removed from scan), and with Prang certification in the lower corner! PERFECT FOR FRAMING!
