The coin itself is nothing short of a gem. A gorgeous Mint State Uncirculated example from our nation's oldest mint in Philadelphia. What sets it apart is the holder. It was graded and slabbed by PCGS. You cannot own a Morgan in a better holder. There are lots of quality sellers on ebay. They are the ones that sell graded coins with a certification that is both legit and investment quality....in other words, it says PCGS or NGC on the holder. When you buy one that was "graded" by a less-than-reputable service, you are inviting trouble now and trouble later. The trouble now is in the form of overpaying for a cleaned or polished coin. The trouble later comes when you try to sell it and nobody will buy it. In the world of graded coins, the grader is everything. Stick to PCGS and NGC. Don't get fleeced by an untrustworthy seller who slabbed and graded the coin himself and is asking you to pay market price for it. If your'e collecting graded coins, BUY RIGHT and remove the risk of being scammed by one of the unethical sellers that serve up overgraded, polished Morgans in holders without a lgitimate certification. That applies to any coin (Morgan or another) in any date (1885 or any other year) from any U.S. mint. This 1886-P is totally white on both sides. It looks as if it was minted yesterday. Satiny fields, sharp details and a crisp strike. ZERO TONING and fully struck....you won't find one any whiter or more lustrous.
