Antique Clock Wow! This auction is for a gorgeous shelf or mantel clock in a beehive case. The clock has a glass door with an image of bamboo and other details reverse painted on the bottom. The case has very nice half spindle details on the side and a two toned appearance. I can see that t has been some minor veneer repair on the front. The dial is a replacement, but true to the original in the original dial plate. It includes a fancy pendulum and a key, and the clock runs perfect! The movement indicates that this is a 1887 model but I am not sure of the model name. It measures about 17" tall and has a gong function at the top of the hour. Very nice old piece with a very nice, large movement! This piece is part of a very large collection of clocks, watches and miscellaneous pieces from the same estate that I am selling this week. The previous owner passed away and was a long time watch and clock repairman in Illinois.
