You are bidding on a FANTASTIC 1887 Limited Edition on the Land of Sleepy Hollow the residence of the famous author Washington Irving and also included is the Legend of Sleepy Hollow. There were 600 books printed for sale by G.P. Putnam's Sons and this is hand numbered in pencil # 389. It includes Photogravure Representations and also illustrations by none other than O.C. DARLEY. The book measures 11 by 14 inches and 2 inches thick. The front cover of the book comes off but the binding is there and all the pages remain tight to the binding. There are no tears or creases and the pages are only slightly browned. There is some foxing on a couple of the inside blank pages and the picture on the front cover ( I suppose of Washington Irving ?) has peeled in spots. The back cover is solid with rounded corners.A great collector's item. ENJOY BIDDING!!
