Up for auction is an antique collection in the following book, " REMINISCENCES OF ABRAHAM LINCOLN, by Distinguished Men Of His Time ." Collected & Edited by Allen Thorndyke Rice (Editor of The North American Review. ) Published in New York by the North American Publishing Company in 1888. I believe a 2nd Edition. 656 pages including index. Illustrated with Steel engravings & woodcuts throughout. Green decorated covers printed in Gold Gilt. (9 3/8 inches by 6 3/8 inches & is 2 1/2 inches thick!) A wonderful collection of accounts & memories of Abraham Lincoln by leading men of His day.

Covers show wear & some 'rubbing' of the cloth on boards & corners. No seperations. Spine tips sshow some wear, but not badly. Very solid spine! This book is 120 years old & is very firm & well held together. A little foxing of the frontispiece engraving but the rest of the interior is clean & nice. Other than the wear on the covers, this is actually quite a vaey nice copy of a scarce & important title!! Former library book of the Milan (Ohio) Public Library, with stamp & card pocket inside front cover (last due date; May 14, (today, 45 years ago) 1963).
