American Belleek Vase Signed with Ceramic Art Company (CAC) Green Palette Mark Circa 1889 - early 1900 Rare Hugh Bulbous Shape - Artist Hand Decorated Floral Theme in Brilliant Hues Massive 12" High and 8 3/4" Wide The Ceramic Art Company was founded in 1889 in Trenton, New Jersey by Jonathan Coxon, Sr. & Walter Scott Lenox This early Ceramic Art Company vase is signed on the base with the company's first mark and is unsigned by the artist The majority of the factory decorated pieces were not artist signed Our reference is American Belleek by Mary Frank Gaston, Pages 20-41 - A similar decoration is featured on Page 27 This superb vase projects a magnificent image with its large bulbous shape and dramatic artistic execution Exclusively offered from an early prominent Texas estate Condition: The vase is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, repairs or discoloration. The handpainted decoration is in fine beautiful condition with just very slight discreet wear on the applied gilt at the upper rim and expected shelf wear on the base bottom rim.
