By Daniel DeFoe, published in London by Ernest Nister. No date, we estimate 1890. With 6 wonderful chromolithograph prints, and 80 black and white illustrations. 10x8 inches, bound in red decorated cloth, beveled edges. 328 pages. In very good condition, an impressive British illustrated edition of a shipwreck classic. The 1719 first edition is not obtainable.Robinson Crusoe is a novel by Daniel Defoe, first published on 25 April 1719. The first edition credited the work's protagonist Robinson Crusoe as its author, leading many readers to believe he was a real person and the book a travelogue of true incidents.
