Gorgeous! Cranberry edge to white center with silver/metallic flecks in the glass! Double crimped edge. Measures approximately 9 ¼" in diameter and 3 ½" deep (at it's highest rim point), and the foot is 2 ¾" in diameter. T are a few manufacturing flaws on the bowl (see photos). First, t is what looks like a bubble burst in the pink edging of the bowl. T is a tool mark that looks like a cut slit on the pink edge. Sharp pontil mark. Otherwise, in great shape. No actual damage found. Light shines through the bowl when held up to the light, sort of fire opal, see last photo for more detail. This type of bowl was manufactured by several glass houses, Webb, Boston & Sandwich, Mt. Washington. This bowl is not marked so I cannot be 100% positive as to which company made it. Probably made in the Victorian Era, likely around 1890. Unmarked American Silver plated frame. T are no stamps or marks on it that I could see. I believe this frame to be made by Wilcox Silver Co. I spent many hours researching and looking up frames on the internet. Wilcox Silver made frames practically identical to this one, the ornaments, handles, and feet are exactly the same. I believe this to be the original frame for the bride's bowl. Polished up very nice with just a silver polishing cloth. Fairly heavy piece. Measures approximately 12" tall, 11 ½" wide, the base is approximately 5 ½" in diameter. Absolutely Gorgeous! Reserve is LESS than what I paid for it. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask. Thanks for looking and happy bidding! I combine shipping, Check out my other items !
